With many of the original actors and the return of the original Chewbacca, R2D2, and C3PO, it’s no wonder that billion at the worldwide box office. The only others who have reached this staggering number are James Cameron’s Titanic and Avatar.

We think that reaching this Episode VII to reach these heights, it would need to sur Avatar’s $2.78 billion haul, and then it would likely become the world’s first $3 billion movie.

In 1977, the first Star Wars film was released and only a few thousand people were familiar with Star Wars. However, the news of this amazing saga spread quickly and there were lines backed up everywhere to see it.

Movie earnings don’t Star Wars: Episode VII wants to reach this goal, they will need to make an outstanding movie to persuade moviegoers to return over and over again.
