It was only a matter of time before someone gave us something awesome like this. Developer Boone Calhoun has recreated the trench run sequence from Star Wars: A New Hope using the Oculus Rift headset.

EGM Now brings us the story and the video so you can see for yourself.

As you can see from the video below, s can look around the cockpit of the X-Wing–complete with R2-D2 in the back. The demo uses an Xbox 360 controller for input.
