Are you in SWTOR early access? If so, you could be part of 1.5 million it’s official launch. 1d3v5t
While the big day is not until tomorrow, reports say that 1.5 million people could already be in the game. We have been getting in by “waves” of people at a time, in the order in which our pre-order codes were put in after purchase. While this was intended to ease the access and spreadout queues, there have still been some long queues for access, especially throughout the weekend. At its worst point on Saturday night, it took me two hours to get into the server that my pre-launch guild was auto-assigned to.
Computerandvideogames.com tells us:
“As of Saturday, December 17, both the number of servers in operation and the average player densities on those servers “had increased meaningfully” since Creutz’s first measurement on Wednesday 14, the analyst said in a research note distributed this morning.
EA had 140 servers operational on Saturday, 77 in the US and 63 in Europe. That’s up from 106 total servers on Wednesday, and compares to World of Warcraft’s 491 servers.”
With the increased popularity at pre-launch, one cannot help but wonder how bad it will be on the 20
th when the game
officially launches for everyone else. But we won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
